Without clergy currently on staff, we have relied on lay leaders to conduct funerals when needed. This role has most often been filled by a few dedicated volunteers, but we are in need of additional individuals who are willing and able to perform this important mitzvah.

Participants should be familiar with, and reasonably fluent in, the major prayers and the basics of Jewish mourning practices. Most important are the ability to be a compassionate listener and strong writing skills.
