BETH SHOLOM TEMPLE PROUDLY PRESENTS
DISTINGUISHED RABBI AND SCHOLAR STEVE GLAZER:
JEWISH BIOMEDICAL ETHICS AND THE END OF LIFE
Tuesdays January 31 st and February 28 th at 7:30 pm ZOOM ONLY

Zoom Link HERE

At our first session in January Rabbi Glazer talked to us about genetic engineering and CRISPR and the ethics of tampering with embryos.  While there are still many biomedical issues surrounding the beginning of life, many of those who attended expressed a greater interest in the ethics of end-of-life issues.  Because of his schedule, Rabbi Glazer can give us just one more session at this time¸ so we are changing the original plans and will now be discussing the difficult decisions regarding the terminally ill, those on life-support, and other decisions facing the elderly: Definition of “Death,” Euthanasia,

Assisted/Active Dying, Cryogenics.

If you registered for session one, you do not need to re-register.  Those who are not already registered will need to register for this session:

Admission Free, Donations Welcome! Suggested donation—$18
