Here’s what happened at the August 18^th Board meeting:

·Thanks to everyone who helped with Mitzvah Day to ready our facilities for the High Holy Days. The building and grounds look better than ever.

·The Fourth in Fredericksburg event earned about $7500 for the congregation.  Thanks to Jessica Robertson who led and all those who volunteered

·Approved Ritual, Media and education committee chairs

·Approved updated policies: 

o   Building Key and Code management

o   Facility rental.  Rates remain unchanged

·Decided to invest in a consultant to help us develop a facilities plan that will project our costs for the next 30 years so we can provide more rigor in our budgeting and financial planning for the future. 

·Discussed the plan to use a recent large donation to our education programs that will begin with development of an outdoor learning space

·For High Holidays, we determined honoraria for those who are providing music at the services.

·We continue to seek volunteers for High Holy Days.  We need Greeters/Ushers and we can use more Torah readers.
