We will be taking a field trip down to Richmond to visit the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts where our own Caroline Carver will be our docent for the highlights of the museum, including their wonderful Fabergé eggs. We’ll take a break for lunch at their casual Best Café (or you may make a reservation at the more upscale Amuse) and continue with  further exploration of the museum.  

VMFA is free but there is a special exhibition called Storied Strings: The Guitar in American Art for which tickets may be purchased.
 

We can carpool down – the registration form asks whether you will drive yourself, whether you can take others, or whether you need a ride. We’ll arrange where and what time we’ll depart once we have the registrations but we’ll probably aim to leave about 9:45.
